Jr-Sr High School News 🌟

This will be our last newsletter for this school year.

May and June are a time for celebration in our building. From spring concerts to award ceremonies and everything in between, we could not be more proud of our students. The growth they have shown since September to May is remarkable.

If you walk the halls right now, you will see seniors standing at a crossroads. They have one foot in the future, ready to grow up, and one foot firmly planted here, reluctant to grow apart. It’s a bittersweet sprint to the finish, but we watch them go with absolute certainty. Whether their next step is a college campus, a career, or a new adventure, they leave here fully equipped for the journey ahead. It has been our greatest joy as educators helping them on this journey.

Mustang Pride! 💙❤️

Student of the Month ⭐

Congratulations to Madelyn Elliot, our April Student of the Month.

Madelyn was nominated by Sara Kyle. Mrs. Kyle shared the following about Madelyn. We can only be so lucky to have a student who can reflectively and effectively balance multiple workloads and expectations. Mady has done that this month to a high degree. This year she joined my Statistics class and declared herself "not good at Math." However, right off the bat, asked questions when she needed help and saw successes in the first month of school. She realized that she CAN do math and she can do it WELL! She seems to have a knack for asking excellent clarifying questions that benefit not only her but her peers as well. She also has no fear of asking questions before class, during practice or during a study hall. She wants to ensure her understanding of the material. Mady is a very musically inclined student and is very passionate about her musical experience during her HS years. This month has been very busy with All County, Winter Guard, and the musical with which she had a substantial role. Mady had a desire to support the music department as they prepared to host all these events. We worked together so she could fulfill her class responsibilities and help in an area she has a strong passion for. I was so proud of how she has balanced her commitments, communicated and completed responsibilities displaying a high degree of understanding.

If you see Madelyn, be sure to congratulate her!

We hope that all of our student of the month winners and nominees for the entire school year can make the Jeffrey Evoy Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, June 9th from 5-6PM at the Jr-Sr HS cafeteria. 🍦
