Jr-Sr High School News ☔

While we are busy finishing up this school year, planning for next year is already underway. We know that our families like to plan things in advance, so we wanted to make sure you have up-to-date information.

At the March meeting, the Board of Education adopted a revised calendar for next school year. Please note the change to a 2-week Spring Recess and no February Recess. Click HERE to view the REVISED 2026-2027 school calendar.

Additionally, you will find an extensive list of upcoming events. This is not meant to overwhelm you, but rather ensure our families have the most important dates for the remainder of the year. We know that planning ahead makes it possible for our students to be prepared and successful. Students will also get this information in class from their teachers.

We look forward to seeing you and your family at the many end-of-the-year events that celebrate our students excellence in education.

To our Senior class, this time of year is extra special and we hope you take a moment to reflect on all of the great memories you have made as a Medina student!

Mustang Athletics 🏆

Spring sports are underway and our Mustangs are off to a great start. Spring weather makes game day schedules unpredictable. Click here for the most up-to-date schedules.

On Monday, May 18th, our District Health Provider will be conducting physicals for fall sports. Students need the Interval health history form completed by a parent/guardian and returned to have a physical completed.

Did you know that planning to play a Division I sport in college starts in 9th grade? DI programs have strict academic requirements in addition to exceptional athletic ability. If you are an athlete with DI dreams, be sure to do your homework. Also, keep in mind that less than 2% of high school athletes go on to play at this level. Click here for the NCAA eligibility information. Our counselors and athletic director are here to help with additional information for parents and athletes.

Go Mustangs! 👟🥍🥎🎾⚾

Grace

Student of the Month ⭐

Congratulations to March Student of the Month winner, Grace Goodrich. Grace is a junior student nominated by Mrs. Boje and Mrs. Stapley.

Mrs. Boje and Mrs. Stapley report that Grace has been an active participant in the class of 2027. She has been an integral part of our fundraisers since eighth grade. From the last school year to the present, Grace has gone above and beyond to ensure that our weekly donut sale is a success. She coordinates the students who sell each week and is present early in the morning to make certain that workers are there and the venue is set up. Despite her busy schedule and academic achievements, Grace continues to be conscientious regarding her class responsibilities. She always wears a smile and has a positive attitude. Grace also contacts the vendors for the Class of 2027 pulled pork fundraising dinner. She is proactive in contacting us when she has a question or concern. Grace is the ideal, well-rounded student.

If you see Grace, be sure to congratulate her!
