School News 🗞️

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!

It has been wonderful seeing our students back in the building after a long summer of construction and dust. We could feel the excitement in the air as the students talked about the renovations and new spaces. Our new band and technology wing has been completed as well as the AG green house. We are still waiting for the completion of the chorus wing and junior high classrooms on the first floor. All construction is expected to be completed by December. The pool at Wise is on schedule and our swim team will be able to swim in November. We appreciate everyone's patience as the finishing touches are added.

We are looking forward to a GREAT year in our improved building!

Bell-to-Bell No Cell 📵

Last January, we began our bell-to-bell cell phone policy in the Junior-Senior High School. We have seen transformative change in our school culture and student engagement. We are excited to build on the work we started last year and are extremely proud of our students efforts.

Since January, it has become the law for all schools in New York State. Under the guidance of the new law, we have updated our board approved policy to include all internet enabled devices included cell phones, earbuds/headphones, tablets, smartwatches, etc. The only exceptions to this policy are with a note provided by a medical doctor and the approval of school administration.

In our school, students are expected to keep all devices silenced in their locker for the duration of the day. If a student needs assistance with their locker they can ask their homeroom teacher or stop by the Main Office.

Please refer to the student handbook p. 24-26 for more information.
