Social Issues/Pro-Con Databases-
Opposing Viewpoints= Premier online resource covering today's hottest social issues, from capital punishment to immigration to marijuana. This cross-curricular research database supports science, social studies, current events, and language arts classes.
Issues & Controversies= Explores and analyzes hundreds of hot topics in politics, business, government, crime, law, energy, education, health, family, science, foreign policy, race, rights, society, and culture.
Online Encyclopedia's/Fact Finding Databases-
World Book Online= Provides all the content in the print edition of World Book, plus many more articles, pictures, sound and video files, maps, a dictionary, suggestions for educators, and handy correlations with the New York curriculum standards. World Book Advanced for grades 8 and up provides in-depth articles, e-books, databases, sound and video files, and a wealth of primary source materials.
Britannica School= The go-to site for learning more about any subject—for all years and all reading abilities—offering thousands of up-to-date, curated and curriculum-relevant articles, images, videos, audio clips, primary sources, maps, research tools, recommended Web sites and three separate databases—Primary/Elementary, Middle or High.

Gale in Context- Middle School= Explores the most-studied topics including cultures, government, people, history, literature, and more.
History Database-
US History In Context= Provides a complete overview of our nation’s past that covers the most-studied events, decades, conflicts, wars, political and cultural movements, and people. Comprehensive, contextual, media-rich information is provided on topics ranging from the arrival of Vikings in North America, to the stirrings of the revolution, through to the Civil Rights movement, 9/11, and the War on Terror.

Biography In Context= An engaging online experience for those seeking contextual information on the world's most influential people.
Literature/Criticism & Critical Essay Databases-
Bloom's Literature= This resource features essays and criticism on thousands of great writers and their works, with an archive of more than 48,500 characters, plus articles on topics and themes, timelines, overviews, synopses, and video, and specific advice on how to write a good essay on popularly assigned authors.
Literature Resource Center = Offers up-to-date biographical information, overviews, full-text literary criticism, and reviews on more than 130,000 writers in all disciplines, from all time periods and from around the world.
Newspaper Databases-
Gale Onefile News= Provides access to more than 2,300 major U.S. regional, national, and local newspapers, as well as leading titles from around the world. It also includes thousands of images, radio, and TV broadcasts and transcripts.
New York State Newspapers= Includes articles from newspapers from around New York State including: New York Times, New York Post, Buffalo News, and more...

Gale (Infotrac)= Includes a variety of databases on various topics such as: health, business, social sciences, fine arts, science, and more.
Novel NY= A wide variety of resources − books, magazines, newspapers, research and reference sources and more are available to New York State residents with NO FEES 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Lee Whedon Digital Collection= Find many helpful digital resources here. You may need a public library card to access some of these resources.
Royalty Free Music Database-
Soundzabound= Royalty free music to use in projects, videos, presentations, etc. Contact Mrs. O'Toole for the username/password.
E-Books-
Sora= SORA provides access to eBooks and audiobooks from your school and public library.
E-Books= O/N BOCES provides us with 85 Ebooks and several online encyclopedias from Gale on various subjects.
Ebsco eBooks Trial= Free trial of many non-fiction titles. Username and password available in the library or if you join the Google Classroom above.
Citation Assistance- MLA, APA, Chicago Style-
NoodleTools= Web-based student research service that helps you correctly cite sources in MLA, APA, and Chicago/Turabian citation styles
Video Streaming-
Swank K12 Streaming Video= Provides legal movie streaming to K-12 students inside and outside of the classroom.
Learn 360!= Provides access to a web-based digital video library comprised of thousands of K-12 core-curriculum videos, video clips, newsreels, audio and video speeches, still images, and audio files.
Multiple Copy Collection-
Insignia= Provides access to the O/N BOCES multiple copy collection and other platforms such as Swank, Learn 360, Soundzabound, Rosen Learning Center, PBS Learning Media.
