AP Biology

SCI4933 - Advanced Placement (AP) Biology 40 weeks 1 credit ($)

Prerequisite: Successful completion of or enrolled in Regents Chemistry.

AP Biology is a comprehensive study of biology including Four Big Ideas: Evolution, Cellular Processes, Genetics and Interactions. This course is designed to offer juniors or seniors the opportunity to pursue a college level study of biology while in high school, and to experience comprehensive laboratory exercises. An Advanced Placement Exam prepared by the College Board is given in May at the end of the course and is mandatory. Successful completion of this exam MAY lead to college credit or advanced placement at the college of your choice.
