About Me: I grew up in nearby Pendleton and attended Starpoint Central School. I received my BS in Chemistry from the University at Buffalo in 1991 and, since I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my degree, decided to hide in school for a few more years and applied to graduate school. While in graduate school I was given the opportunity to teach for the first time. Almost immediately I knew that this was what I wanted to do. I began teaching in Medina in 1998. After completing my research over breaks and summers I earned my PhD in Bioinorganic Chemistry in 2000.
I currently teach chemistry and forensic science. My goal is to make learning fun and to help my students achieve a life-long love for science and learning. Science is simply a tool that I hope to use to help my students realize their potential in whatever field they choose to pursue. It has been a privilege to teach the amazing young people of this community.
My wife and I have been married since 1994 and have 4 kids. We love travelling, sports, musical theatre, and walks with our dog, Otis.
