About Me:

Hello, my name is Mrs. O'Toole. I was born & raised in Niagara Falls, NY.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a concentration in Legal Studies/Political Science, from the University of Buffalo and my Masters Degree in Library Science. I began my career as a public librarian in the Buffalo & Erie County Library System. In this capacity, I had the opportunity to work in various departments and quickly realized I had a passion for teaching information literacy skills and for working with the young adult population. I decided to pursue my School Library Media Specialist certification. I have been the high school librarian in Medina since 2009.

During this time I have assisted grades 7-12 students and teachers with their research and information literacy needs. I have been a class advisor, book club monitor, tech teacher, detention monitor, and a member of many district committees (Technology, Scholarship, Professional Development, & Sunshine). I currently am the co New Teacher Coordinator for the Medina Teachers' Association.

My husband is a firefighter and we have a daughter and a son.  We enjoy the outdoors, traveling, reading, family time, and more.
