About Me:

Hello, and thank you for visiting my teacher page. I am Mrs. Ossont , this year I will complete my 24th year of teaching, although not all in Medina. Over the course of my career I have taught almost every content area in the Social Studies and I truly enjoy the diversity of teaching this content area. I started in Medina in 2004, just after relocating back to the area after teaching for a year in Florida. Prior to that I also taught in Wilson for five years, leaving as a newlywed for my husband to take a job in Florida.

I was born in Buffalo, New York. I attended Niagara University earning a BA in Political Science and a MS in Education. I did take a "gap year" as they call it, between my degrees to determine if teaching truly was the right fit for me. What I love about teaching is making the connection with students on the road to adulthood, and seeing them forge their own paths in life.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy being a mom driving my children from one activity to the next as they develop their own talents and abilities. I garden, practice yoga, and when I can find time between being a wife, mother, and teacher I still take on the occasional stage play or musical.

Thank you for taking time to get to know a little bit about me, and I look forward to sharing more and learning more with you this year!
