About Me: This will be my fourth year teaching English at Medina High School. I graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2012, beginning my career at The Gow School a few months after graduating college. I taught English 6, 9, 10, and 11 at The Gow School from 2012-2018, and I also earned my Masters in Literacy (Birth-12th Grade) at SUNY Fredonia.
I love teaching reading and writing because each class brings new experiences and ideas into the lesson, so each class yields different discussions and ideas. Often, students' perspectives help me to look at a text in a different way. I teach English 9 and 11 and an AIS English class. Additionally, I am the golf and tennis coach.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, hiking, golf, kayaking, football, tennis, and cooking. I recently began my pursuit of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks, so I enjoy camping and hiking in this area with my wife and our Golden Retriever. I also have a big family, so I enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. My wife and I recently welcomed our first child into the world; it has been an unbelievable experience to see her learning and discovering new things each day.
